Buruj Sports Academy Resumes Third Term, Targets Victory in Next NLO Fixture
Buruj Sports Academy in Lagos has resumed academic and sporting activities for the third term of the 2025/2026 session, as the team intensifies preparations for its second fixture in the ongoing Nationwide League One season.
The academy, which combines education with football development, welcomed players back on the fourth Monday of May, with training sessions already in full swing.
Speaking on the development, the Chief Executive Officer, Salaudeen Waheed Buruj, described the period as crucial for both academic and competitive success.
“We have resumed the third term with serious focus. The NLO is already ongoing, and we are preparing strongly for our second match against First Bank on May 9. The players understand the importance of this game,” he said.
The coaching crew has intensified training, focusing on fitness, tactical organization, and team cohesion ahead of the encounter.
The upcoming fixture against First Bank FC is expected to be a key test for the team as they aim to build momentum in the league campaign.
Management of the academy also emphasized the need for players to maintain a balance between their academic responsibilities and football commitments, especially for those preparing for external examinations.
Buruj Sports Academy continues to play a significant role in grassroots football development, providing a platform for young talents to grow into professional athletes while pursuing their education.
