Buruj FC’s Post-Match Analysis: Lessons from Ojodu City Loss

Spread the love

We are disappointed with the 3–1 defeat to Ojodu City, but I first of all thank God that all our players came out injury free after the game.

Football is about growth, learning, and development, and I cannot blame any of the players for this result.

Some of these young players are just experiencing the opportunity of playing in the third-tier league for the first time, and this is a very big platform for them to display their talents and gain valuable experience.

At Buruj Football Club, our mission is not only about winning matches but also about developing young talents, adding professional touches to their game, and preparing them for bigger opportunities abroad.Against Ojodu City, the boys showed character.

After conceding first in the first half, we equalized through Odunayo after a good assist from Ebubechukwu Malobi to end the first half 1–1.

In the second half, despite our efforts to come back, we missed some chances while our goalkeeper, Edet Inyang, made several important saves to keep us in the game before it eventually ended 3–1 in favour of Ojodu City.

We will continue working hard, correcting our mistakes, and helping these young players grow into better professionals for the future.”
