Buruj Sports Academy is celebrating yet another academic success story as one of its standout players, Fawas Abefe Olukosi, has passed his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) with flying colours.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s.

The Lagos State-born midfielder, a beneficiary of the Academy’s Play-and-Study Initiative, sat for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) at Goshen College, Ikorodu, and cleared all his subjects, including the mandatory English Language and Mathematics.

The Play-and-Study Initiative is designed to give young footballers a unique opportunity to pursue their academic education alongside developing their football careers, ensuring they have a solid foundation for life both on and off the pitch.

Fawas, an ambitious midfielder who idolizes Cristiano Ronaldo, dreams of playing professional football in Europe and eventually venturing into meaningful business after retiring from the sport.

Speaking on Fawas’ achievement, CEO of Buruj Sports Academy, Waheed Buruj, said

“This is another proud moment for us at Buruj Sports Academy. Our Play-and-Study Initiative continues to prove that with proper guidance, young athletes can successfully combine academics with sports.”

” Fawas’ success is a testament to the effectiveness of this program. We encourage parents to take advantage of this unique opportunity by enrolling their wards with us ahead of the 2025/2026 football season and academic session. Together, we can nurture well-rounded individuals who excel both on the field and in the classroom.” Waheed stated.

He used the occasion to thank the management of Goshen College Ikorodu for their cooperation.
