Nigeria has been drawn into Group B of the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) finals, scheduled to take place in Morocco next summer. The Super Falcons will face two North African teams, Tunisia and Algeria, as well as Botswana in the group stage.
The Falcons will be eager for another clash with Algeria’s Green Ladies, having secured convincing victories of 2-0 and 4-1 in friendly matches held in Nigeria last month.

The draw, conducted on Friday evening at the Mohamed VI Football Complex in Sale, near Rabat, placed the host nation, Morocco, in Group A alongside Zambia, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Defending champions South Africa are in Group C and will take on Ghana, Mali, and Tanzania in the 12-nation tournament, which will run from July 5 to July 26, 2025.
In the last edition held in July 2022, Morocco finished as runners-up, with Zambia clinching bronze after defeating Nigeria 1-0 in the third-place match.
